-Former BJP MLA Khorani and 9 others are held by police with cash of Rs 17,000 for gambling in Lakhanka village. Khorani, son of late Chotila MLA Vashram Khorani was given ticket by BJP to contest bypoll after his father’s death. He was elected as youngest MLA of Gujarat. However he was denied ticket in last assembly elections.
-A person from Bellari has been held for allegedly giving death threat to BJP Ahmedabad MLA Jagrupsinh Rajput.
-Three rivers of Visavdar belt in Junagadh district are flooding due to heavy rain.
-Districts of Junagadh, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surendranagar and Amreli continued to receive shower on Saturday/Sunday. Jamnagar’s Khambhalia received 8 inch shower.
-State Cabinet Minister Babubhai Bokhiria left Porbandar to reach capital Gandhinagar. He is most likely going to challenge the Porbandar court decision in Gujarat High Court on Monday. He was convicted and given three years jail in year 2006 illegal mining case.
