Gujarat completes 22.03% rain: Porbandar highest gainer, Dang least


Ahmedabad, 19 June 2013

By 8.00 am on Wednesday, 19th June, 2013, Gujarat has received 22.03% rain of the season. This is very good percentage in third week of June.

Among all districts, Porbandar has received highest 55.36% rain so far. The district has thus completed half of its normal monsoon rain in first few days of the monsoon. Kutiana taluka of Porbandr district has completed 81.40% rain of the season till now. Kutiana is highest gainer in this monsoon so far.

Junagadh district is on no.2 as of now in this monsoon with 44.15% rain so far. Manavadar in Junagadh district is second highest gainer this monsoon so far with rain percentage of 79.20.

The lowest rain is witnessed in tribal Panchmahal(11.39%), Dahod(10.94%) and Dang(9.41%) districts.

Percentage of rain in districts: Kutch(20.05%), Ahmedabad(21.59%), Patan(17.55%), Kheda(14.40%), Banaskantha(21.20%), Anand(14.01%), Vadodara(14.17%), Mahesana(14.38%), Sabarkantha(13.45%), Gandhinagar(13%), Panchmahal(11.39%), Dahod(10.94%), Surendranagar(25.83%), Bharuch(18.82%), Narmada(16.57%), Tapi(12.12%), Surat(28.54%), Rajkot(36.88%), Jamnagar(33%), Porbandar(55.36%), Junagadh(44.15%), Valsad(21.36%), Dangs(9.41%), Navsari(18.91%), Amreli(30.29%) and Bhavnagar(23.03%).
