Late in the evening on Tuesday, Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced Rs. 5 lakh aid to families of those armed force jawans who lost their life in helicopter crash at Gaurikund in Uttarakhand during rescue operation.
Shri Modi tweeted: I salute our armed forces who sacrificed their lives in saving people in Uttarakhand. Gujarat government will give aid of Rs. 5 lac to their families.
It should be mentioned that the IAF Mi-17 crash today killed 13 IAF, ITBP, NDRF personnel. The unofficial figure is 19 however
