Tourism Minister on upcoming initiatives in tourism sector in Gujarat(Video)

In his speech today at national event on Tourism in Ahmedabad’s Pride hotel, Shri Saurabh Patel, Tourism Minister of Gujarat said that open spaces available to state tourism department shall be given to private people to build hotels through tender process soon.
He said, present hotels owned by the Gujarat Tourism will be upgraded and handed over to private management.
He said, his ministry intends to set up permanent exhibition sites to sell handicrafts at the locations where tourist inflow is constant.
Patel said in earlier years, the governments in Gujarat focused on manufacturing sector, but the present state government under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi started identifying potential of service sector also including the tourism industry.
