Nadiad – Modasa NG section was converted into Broad Gauge section & was opened for traffic from 27.10.2002 with only one pair of train running over this section. Average per day 799 number of unreserved passenger is booked fetching earnings of Rs. 6,376 /- over this section. Looking to the demand of the local representative’s, one additional service was introduced in this section from 11.02.2013 on experimental basis with total 04 no. of General coaches + 01 Luggage Coach having carrying capacity of 400 passenger. By running one additional pair of train service, number of passenger and earnings has increased. The average per day no. of passenger increased to 1,040 fetching earnings of Rs. 9,026/-. Looking to the increase in No. of passenger & earnings this service is being regularized wef 26.07.2013.

Shri. Dinsha Patel, Hon’ble Minister for Mines shall flag off the regularized second pair of train services ie train no. 59153/59154 over Nadiad – Modasa BG section on 26.07.13 at 10.00 hrs. from Nadiad Railway station. Shri. N. K. Shukla, Divisional Railway Manager Vadodara and other Railway officials shall remain present on this occasion.

The Fare between Nadiad & Modasa is Rs. 20/- per adult & Rs.10/- per child respectively.
