Father-son Farooq and Omar Abdullah caught lying on Gujarat

Ahmedabad, 12 August 2013

They were forced to leave Kashmir valley first. Now Minority Hindus are in trouble in Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir state. BJP is taking up the issue not as a Hindu-Muslim conflict but as a challenge against sovereignty of nation. Jammu Kashmir government didn’t allow leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Shri Arun Jaitley to enter Jammu town. Even media is not allowed to visit Kishtwar. Curfew is imposed in Kishtwar for last three days. Arms shop has been looted. Two persons are dead, 29 are injured. Minister of state for Home who is MLA of same area has submitted his resignation. He was accused of helping the rioters. 68 shops, 7 hotels, 35 vehicles are damaged. The town has been handed over to Army at present.

In such circumstances, instead of controlling the situation, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and his father who is a Union minister are lying in parliament and on twitter.

Soon after Shri Jaitley’s speech was over in Rajya Sabha, union minister Farooq Abdullah stood up and said in 2002, Gujarat didn’t allow people to enter Ahmedabad, didn’t deploy Army.

Now this was a sheer lie. When kids lie, parents punish them. Farooq Abdullah openly lied today, who would punish him?

Abdullah should tell one instance in which anyone was stopped visiting Ahmedabad or Gujarat during the riots. Shri Arun Jaitley has told a news agency that Sonia Gandhi went on third day of Gujarat riots, and she wasn’t stopped. Reason to stop someone is to hide facts.

We have entire details of who visited Ahmedabad when during the Gujarat riots. A Congress party delegation led by then AICC Secretary Kamal Nath visited riot affected areas of Gujarat on 3rd March. Balram Jakhad, Ahmed Patel, Mohsina Kidwai, Eduardo Faleiro, Priyaranjandas Munshi etc were part of the delegation. They talked to press and met Governor too on the same day.

Before replying to Mr. Farooq Abdullah’s remark that Modi didn’t deploy Army, let’s first go to his son Omar Abdullah’s tweet. While Kishtwar is burning, this chhote miya is busy on twitter, and he tweeted today: Oh that’s right they can’t because their star PM hopeful waited days to call out the army and has yet to apologise. Hypocrites

No nonsense stays unsettled on Twitter. Mr. Omar Abdullah. Flag march of Army in riot-gripped Ahmedabad took place on 1st March 2002 itself, a day after riots on 28 February 2002. That’s because Narendra Modi had called Army on 28 February within hours of riots. And on 1st March not only Army was in Ahmedabad, but then union Defense minister too was in Ahmedabad.

Now, can someone educate Abdullah Omar on how many days there are between February and March in a non leap year? It seems he imagines, 29-30-31 February saw riots. But these are non-existent dates.

Then Mr. proven liar Abdullah Omar further tweets: Would Jaitley be so kind as to inform Parliament whether the Gujarat Home Minister or MoS Home resigned or even offered to in 2002!

To this first thing to note is that Mr. Abdullah family didn’t resign after 2002 Gujarat riots. They withdrew support when they lost assembly elections in October 2002. And not only MoS Home, but entire Modi government had resigned in 2002, and invited fresh general polls. It is other thing that then election commissioner Mr. Lingdoh didn’t give elections soon. Mr. Abdullah has that courage?
