Congress party’s possible Prime Ministerial candidate Rahul Gandhi has picked up Gujarat IT(Information Technology) cell Chairman Rohan Gupta to form party’s IT cell in all states of the country.
In 2011, for the first time in India, Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia had started party’s IT cell under the leadership of Rohan Gupta. Later district wise IT cells were formed in all districts of Gujarat. IT cell had played its role during Gujarat assembly general elections last year.
According to a statement issued by Gujarat Congress, Shri Rahul Gandhi is impressed by Gujarat Congress IT cell work and he has taken a decision to form IT cell on national level on Gujarat model pattern. Rohan Gupta has been assigned responsibility to set up party’s IT cell in all states and train and expand the network.
In this connection, All India Congress Committee(AICC)’s communication wing has organized IT functionary workshop on 22 August and invited those party men active in social media and IT from all the states.
