SMC to dig artificial pond for immersion of Ganesh murtis

The Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) is digging an artificial pond for Ganesh murti immersion. A 20 meter long 10 meter wide and 8 meter deep pond at Dumas will be used for immersion of plaster of paris murtis of Ganesha taller than five ft.
Faldu visits 14 Ganesh sthapan venues
Gujarat BJP president RC Faldu visited as many as 13 Ganesh venues in Surat with state general secretary Bharatsinh Parmar yesterday.
Muslims perform puja and aarti
A group of Muslims from Limbayat area arrived at city’s Turning point Ganesh mitra mandal Ganesh sthapan venue and performed puja and aarti. Leading Muslims Hamidbhai Fruitwala, Mansurbhai, Yusufbhai and others took pledge against slaughter of cows.
