Gujarat government will launch helpline for women on 4 February. The helpline has been named ‘Abhayam’. It will be available at 181 number on phone. The helpline will rescue the women against domestic violence. It will provide guidance and also deliver the details of women-oriented schemes.

The service will be started in Ahmedabad, Surat and Gandhinagar district in initial phase. According to deputy secretary RV Bhagat, Mahila Ayog, Child helpline 1098, 1091 and 108 will also be connected to 181.
