Modi on Paswan, Nitish and third front at Muzaffarpur rally

Muzaffarpur, 3 March 2014

BJP prime ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi today welcomed Lok Jan Shakti party leader Ramvilas Paswan to National Democratic Alliance(NDA).

Shri Modi described NDA as National Development Alliance and said, “our family is expanding. I welcome Ramvilas Paswan, Upendra Kushwaha and others. The strength of NDA will increase even in future, and worries of opponents will also increase therefore.”

“They are surprised. they were calling BJP a Baniya-Brahmin party, but these BJP people declared a person from backward class as PM candidate! They are surprised. But note it down that the next decade will belong to dalits, deprived, tribal and backward people. I am making my intention/agenda clear.”

Modi attacked third front people and asked, “Was there any third front a year before? Did anyone from third front pay visit to you six months before? When elections are there, these third front people suddenly get up, and then again go to sleep. They are poll-time players. They can spoil the atmosphere of elections, but can’t do any good to country.”

“And what is this third front? Majority of parties are those who saved Congress.”

Modi attacked Nitish Kumar without taking his name. He said, “in public life, hypocrisy can’t work. In reference to Ram Vilasji I want to say something. He left NDA on protest note, but whenever we met thereafter, he met me with love. He was not afraid when photos of both of us were clicked. Otherwise I have seen the leaders who speak cordially inside a room, but not comfortable when in public, or when photos are clicked. People forgive mistakes, people don’t forgive hypocrisy.

Modi on some local issues:
-Makhana has good nutrition value, but nothing has been done for value addition based products
-Women are still not having toilets in Bihar, they have to go in open in dark.
-Power supply related issues in Bihar.
-Bihar has become safe harbor for terrorists.
-Only BJP governments top in implementation of 20 point programme.
-Good of poor people is BJP’s priority.
-Here is the land where good water supply and fertile land. Atalji had taken pledge for river grid. Delhi govt stalled this project. It has to go ahead.

Paswan said:

Ram Vilas Paswan in his speech said,’Incidents happen, the riots happened in Gujarat 12 years ago, there have been nothing since then. But here in Bihar they happen every year.”

Paswan added that he wanted to see Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, especially as he was from an extremely backward caste.

Paswan slammed the UPA, Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav saying that once, for them, Ram Vilas Paswan could do no wrong, and now they have ganged up against me.
