Himmatnagar, 19 March 2014
The Aam Aadmi Party has not been able to find enough candidates for all seats in Gujarat so far. Even whatever candidates it has selected and announced so far are facing controversy. AAP might have been boasting that all its candidates for the Lok Sabha polls are spotless but there is definitely a taint in the party’s image. The candidate fielded from Sabarkantha Lok Sabha constituency by AAP has been found to have got a case of fraud registered against him. He was held by Himmatnagar rural police station for selling duplicate gold in May 2011. The case registered under section 406, 420 has been investigated and chargesheet has been filed in court.
