Ahmed Patel to sit on dharna on Wednesday

Rajya Sabha MP and senior leader of Congress party Ahmed Patel will hold dharna on 23 April at tribal town Dediapada in central Gujarat seeking action against two police sub inspectors stationed at Dediapada and Sagbara. Ahmed Patel alleges that two sub inspectors are hand in glove with bootlegger and they are favoring BJP.
According to a statement issued by the Gujarat Congress, Shri Ahmed Patel and Congress general secretary Lalji Desai held a chaupal event at Dediapada where local tribal people complained about two local police sub inspectors for not taking action against illegal liquor trade spread across 125 villages in this belt.
According to Congress, when local Congress panchayat member complained against the police men, he was beaten up.
In his complaint to election commission and state DGP, Ahmed Patel has demanded immediate action against two local police officials. Ahmed Patel has announced dharna programme at Collector office and at Dediapada char rasta on 23 April in this connection.
