A function held by Gujarat CM on suggestion of PM

Widows of those Gujarat Police Bomb Disposal Squad jawans who were killed in an accident in Uttar Pradesh while on way to Bihar to protect Narendra Modi’s public rally during the national election campaign were present in the function with kids.

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel on Wednesday ascertained that the personnel of Gujarat police have rightly won the laurel of the successful guardians of country’s journey to the good-government.

Smt. Patel had honoured her security personnel for excelling in discharging their duties in providing unbreakable protective shield to then Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi during his nation-wide entourage.

She had honoured these commandos and personnel of Gujarat police at colourful cultural programme presented by Police Family Unit at Mhatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

The function was jointly organized by the Home Department and DGP to honour the entire force of more than 1400 security personnel involved in providing unbreakable security shield to then Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi during his nation wide touring.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister had lauded the efforts of the security personnel in providing the best security cover to then Chief Minister (Mr. Modi) with their dutifulness. She had also congratulated the family members of these security personnel.

She said, we are fulfilling the suggestion made by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to confer due honours and felicitations to these security personnel and their family members for providing full-proof security cover to him during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. This function is showcasing the sensuality and sensitive of Prime Minister towards his staffers, Smt. Patel added.

On the occasion, Smt. Patel had handed over a meritorious certification and a cheque of Rs one lakh to the family members of the three martyr jawans.

Recalling the down-memory lane, the jawans and officers had narrated the incidents happened during their successful discharging of duties in adverse circumstances while their entourage to other states.

On the occasion, others who lauded the efforts of the security personnel included Home Minister Rajnikantbhai Patel, Additional Chief Secretary (home) Dr. S K Nanda, DGP Mr. P C Thakur, Add DGP Mr. Pramod Kumar, Mr. G C Murmu, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, and other senior police officers and jawans.
