France to open Visa centre in Gujarat, French envoy meets CM

French Consul General in India Mr. Jean-Raphael Peytregnet today called on Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in capital Gandhinagar.
It was a courtesy visit as per the state government.
Mr. Jean-Raphael Peytregnet informed Gujarat Chief Minister that France is soon going to set up its visa center in Ahmedabad.
French envoy also discussed a plan to set up a French Language Centre of Excellence.
France is going to develop smart cities in India and Gujarat is one of the favorite destinations, French envoy told Chief Minister. In this connection Gujarat Chief Minister invited French envoy for support to Dholera Port city’s development.
Pharma, defense equipment production and cement were another areas of discussion.
Chief Minister thanked French government for their services offered to Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation for its heritage project in the past.
Chief Minister invited French delegation to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Investors Summit next year in January. French envoy reacted positively to this.
Government officials Kailashnathan and Pandian were part of the meeting.
