Rs. 102.51 crore upgrade for Ahmedabad’s Kidney hospital

The state government will upgrade Ahmedabad’s Civil hospital campus based Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research hospital with Rs. 102.51 crore push. The 400-bed hospital will be converted into 600-bed facility through upgrade.
Government has allocated Rs. 30 crore grant by March 2014.
The hospital has so far completed 400 kidney transplants. In two years(by 31st March 2014), total 4,37,804 patients are treated by this hospital.
These details were shared by Health Minister Nitinbhai Patel and Minister of state for Health Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary in Gujarat assembly.
