Balwant Singh takes oath as Chief Information Commissioner,Gujarat

Retired IAS Balwant Singh today took oath as Chief Information Commissioner, Gujarat State at Raj Bhavan. Oath was administered by Governor OP Kohli. Shri Balwant Singh replaces outgoing CEC Rajagopalan. Balwant Singh retired from IAS in December 2011. He had served as Additional Chief Secretary(ACS) Home department, Additional Chief Secretary to Government(Personnel), General Administration department in the past.
Chief Secretary Dr. Varesh Sinha, State Information Commissioner VS Gadhvi, Sridevi Shukla, BG Panchasara and other senior secretaries and officers were present on this occasion.
