PLASTINDIA 2015 to be held during 5-10 February 2015 in Gandhinagar

The ninth edition of PLASTINDIA exhibition will be held in Gandhinagar’s newly built exhibition centre from February 5 to 10, 2015

Addressing a press conference on PlastIndia 2015 in Ahmedabad today, Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, Minister, Industry, Government of Gujarat, said, “Gujarat has become the first Indian state to host PlastIndia outside Delhi. This exhibition will be held in Gandhinagar, and with all kind of facilities and infrastructure it is the most convenient venue for global expos like this. At a time when our Prime Minister has launched a campaign to promote Make in India product, Gujarat is going to announce new industrial policy very shortly. All manufacturers including plastic manufacturers & processors, who are looking for capacity expansion / diversification / Greenfield projects, will be extended all possible support under the new policy.”

Talking to media, Mr. Subhash Kadakia, President, Plastindia Foundation, said, “India & its other developing peers have huge market potential, cost-effective manpower and also capability to become manufacturing base for the global enterprises, but to unlock this potential, it needs technical kow-how, R&D capabilities, experience of global markets and above all huge investments obviously from the developed countries. PlastIndia will provide a platform to synergize the strength of the developing and developed countries. Not only that, by bringing together manufacturing as well as consumer companies from across the world, PlastIndia 2015 will act as a gateway to tap the potential of the global market for plastic industry.” “In all international plastic exhibitions and conferences, PlastIndia is ranked third and it is taking place for the first time at Mahatma Madir, Gandhinagar. Being an expo with participation of more than 40 countries, it will add to the importance of Mahatma Mandir as an emerging venue for global exhibitions,” Mr. Kadakia added.

Commenting on selection of Gandhinagar as the host city for the exhibition, Mr. J. R. Shah, Chairman, NEC, Plastindia 2015, said, “By moving to Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Plastindia 2015 comes close to the hub of the plastic industry. We have taken this decision after thoughtful consideration keeping in mind the size & class of the venue and also of the potential exhibitors, visitors, researchers, institutes & international participants. We are hopeful that such endeavor will help us provide better value proposition to all the stakeholders.”

PLASTINDIA 2015 concurrent events include:

-PROPLAST: This 4th edition event is the final word in processed plastics, the heart of India’s plastics industry. PROPLAST is a showcase of India’s burgeoning plastics processing capability. It demonstrates the high standards that are consistently delivered by Indian processors across the globe.
