The website was founded on 23 October 2006 which was Gujarati new year day that year.
Gujarati new year ( Bestu varsh, or first day of the month of Kartak in Gujarati Vikram Samvat calendar ) falls on 24 October this year.
The website DeshGujarat.Com enters into 9th year of operation on this day.
