Yanni to perform in Vadodara at VADFEST 2015

Legendary Greek pianist, keyboardist, composer and music producer Yanni(Yiannis Chryssomallis) will perform at VADFEST 2015 at Vadodara in Gujarat.
Ticket price for Yanni’s concert has been fixed at Rs. 5,000, Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 10,000 for chair and Rs. 25,000 for single seat at corporate table.
Yanni’s concert will take place with the Lakshmi Vilas Palace as the backdrop on 23 January 2015.
Yanni has in the past performed in Agra with Taj Mahal as backdrop.
VADFEST is also going to offer performances of Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam on 25 January and legendary music director and singer AR Rahman on 26 January. Ticket rates for Sonu Nigam concert are in range of Rs. 250 to Rs. 2000 while for AR Rahman concert it is in the range of Rs. 500/chair to Rs. 4 lakh(16 seater corporate box).
Core committee of VADFEST is chaired by Tourism, Civil Aviation minister Saurabh Patel. MoS Sports, Youth and Cultural activities Nanubhai Vanani, MP Ranjanben Bhatt, Mayor Vadodara Municipal Corporation, Secretary Sports, Youth and Cultural activities, Secretary Tourism, Secretary rural industries, Information Commissioner, Managing Director Indext -B, President Vadodara Chamber of Commerce are its members. Gujarat Tourism’s Managing Director and Tourism Commissioner are its member secretaries.
For permanent implementation, an execution committee has been formed led by Municipal Commissioner of Vadodara. International art and culture festival VADFEST will be held once in two years as per a decision made by Industry and Mines department of Government of Gujarat dated 18-10-2014. First edition of VADFEST will be held during 23-26 January.
