Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015:PM to address Plenary session and Global CEO’s Conclave

Speaking at a pre-Vibrant Summit road show in Mumbai today, Principal secretary(Industry) Atanu Chakrawarty said that the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015 is not merely about investment in Gujarat or about business, it is actually an opportunity for thoughts to be exchanged.

Sharing the details of the events planned, he said, “Vibrant Gujarat summit 2015 will have 10 partner countries, 4 international partner organizations, 125 countries participating in it and 1 lakh square meter area exhibition.”

He said, “on the first day of the summit there will be an inaugural session in pillar less hall of Mahatma Mandir where 5,000 people can be accommodated. There will be a galaxy of global business leaders and the leaders from partner countries, state Chief Ministers and honorable Prime Minister.”

“In the afternoon, country seminars of partner countries will be held. There will be also theme seminars on the first days on the subjects of defense production, CSR, Agri food processing.These breakaway sessions will be addressed by eminent speakers,” he said.

Giving an example of impact of such sessions he said that in previous edition of Vibrant Summit on of the session was about Smart Grid, and the city of Ahmedabad has now country’s first smart grid.

He said, “Global CEOs conclave will be held during 5.00-8.00 pm in presence of CEOs from Fortune 500 companies, eminent economists, academicians, policy makers.”

He added that both plenary session in the morning and Global CEOs conclave are to be ‘invitation only’ events.

He said on the second day, country specific seminars will be held by South Africa, Netherlands, Canada and Singapore . Second day will also see theme seminars on the subjects of smart city, international finance centre, SMEs, health for all, sustainable energy, innovation, agri food processing and sustainable development.

He said the next day will see B2B(Business to Business) and B2G(Business to Government) meetings. Alternatively the delegates can explore nearby tourist places like Adalaj step-well, Modhera sun temple or may enjoy authentic Gujarati food.

He said that more than 1,000 companies and 10,000 delegates are expected to visit an exhibition spread over 1 lakh sqm area. The exhibition is likely to be visited by 1.5 million visitors.
