CM to open spinning unit of Welspun,dev projects, Rann Utsav in Kutch


Gandhinagar/Bhuj, December 5, 2014

The Chief Minister will visit Kutch district and formally open the Kutch Rann Utsav 2014-15. During her one day stay at Dhordo where Kutch Rann Utsav is being organized like every year, she will dedicate a dining hall, handicraft market and other projects.

Chief Minister during her Kutch visit, will also inaugurate spinning unit of Welspun company near Varsamedi village.

The Chief Minister will frly from Ahmedabad airport to Bhuj airport and move to Welspun company’s plant by helicopter. After inauguration of plant and lunch, she will fly from Varsamedi to Dhordo in helicopter and reach Dhordo in the afternoon, where she will open various development projects like dining hall, craft market and food court.

Chief Minister will attend Air Force’s sky diving show and dog show and later formally open Rann Utsav. She will attend a cultural event in white Rann of Kutch and leave for Bhuj where she will take night halt at Umed Bhuwan.

Congress opposes CM’s Welspun visit:

Former Finance Minister Babubhai Mehgjibhai Shah has in a statement asked Chief Minister to realize the difference between good and bad. In a statement, Babubhai said that Varsamedi based Welspun’s three units were given the land at 25% price against actual price as per Jantri when Anandiben was Revenue Minister. He said, “on 7 January, 22 January and 1 February in 2009, while Jantri rate of land was Rs. 585, the land to Welspun was allotted at per meter Rs. 149 price. He also pointed out that Welspun is supplied daily 2 crore litre Narmada water.
