Kankariya to host India regional food festival during PBD and Vibrant summit

In upcoming January Amdavadis will get a chance to test cuisines from India’s all four corners-from North-East and Bengal to Jammu & Kashmir to far Kanyakumari at Kankariya Lake.
The state Government and the Ministry of External Affairs(MEA) and Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of India have planned a mega Food festival for the Non Resident Indian(NRI) and foreign visitors who will come to Ahmedabad for upcoming Pravasi Bhartiya Divas(PBD) celebration and the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investor Summit(VGGIS) schedule in January.
Sources close to the development informed that, “for the first time Ahmedabad will witness a real national food festival during the upcoming vibrant summit and PBD celebration. We have arranged for bringing authentic food experts from all the states. Special stalls will be set up at Kankariya Lake for the NRI and foreign guests, however locals will also be allowed to visit these stalls.”
“We expect at least 5000 visitors per day during the PBD, Vibrant summit and International Kite festival. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of India Pranab Mukherjee and several VVIP, VIP guests are likely to visit the food festival, so best quality authentic food will be served in the festival.”
