Rann Utsav formally opened, several development works launched

Gujarat Chief Minister on Saturday formally opened the Kutch Rann Utsav 2014/15.

On this occasion she dedicated several development works.

Chief Minister dedicated 500 toilets and 500 bathrooms constructed jointly by Agrocell industries, Safai Vidyalaya and Shrof Foundation for five villages.

The Chief Minister felicitated Banni area’s five daughters who are doing college.

She dedicated a health center which will offer health services to villages of Dhordo and Banni areas and also serve tourists during Rann Utsav.

The Chief Minister opened Dhordo/Banni area’s first bank. A branch of Dena Bank opened at Dhordo will serve 3,000 people from 17 villages who need to travel 40 km to access nearest bank.

Construction of toilets constructed under BADP was launched in 17 border area villages. Chief Minister presented Rs. 3 crore cheque for toilet construction to district collector Mahendra Patel.

Speaking at this occasion, Tourism Minister Saurabh Patel said that the state government is trying to develop Bhuj-Dhordo-Dholavira tourism circuit.

Ministers Shankar Chaudhary, Tarachand Chheda, Jayesh Radadia, Parliamentary Secretary Vasan Ahir, district panchayat chief Trikambhai Chhanga, MLAs, others were present on this occasion.
