A 50 members strong delegation from Australia to participate in Vibrant Gujarat Summit

On invitation of Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, a 50 members strong delegation from Australia will be visiting Gujarat during the Vibrant Summit – 2015. This detail was shared by state Finance Minister Saurabh Patel today in Gandhinagar.
The delegation will be led by Australian Trade and Investors Minister Mr. Andrew Robb. The delegation will also include Premiers of two Australian states – New South Wale and Queensland.
Gujarat Chief Minister will sign MoUs with New South Wale Premier Barry O’Farrell during Vibrant Gujarat Summit for multidimensional partnership in development.
Minister Saurabh Patel further said that both Premiers will sign MoU on joint development in the areas of education and students exchange programme.
He said MoUs will be signed between GMDC and New South Wale(NSW) based Wollongong University for development of a Center of Excellence, and in the areas of sports management, skill development and training. MoUs will also be inked for water conversation, waste water treatment and recycling and desalination. Both sates will ink MoU for town planning and designing of Gujarat’s six cities and also in the area of green building technology and clean technology.
Minister Saurabh Patel further said that Gujarat’s then Chief Minister Narendra Modi had sown the seeds for such agreements with Australia’s prominent state New South Wales.
