Gujarat govt positive to approve diamond SEZ, bourse, notified area in Surat

In picture: Chief Minister Anandiben Patel watching model of proposed railway station of Surat which has to be developed in public private partnership. MoU for this railway station construction will be signed during upcoming Vibrant Gujarat summit. This same model, made by local architect will be displayed at Vibrant Gujarat summit too. Presently it has been put on display at Sparkle 2015 diamond fair in Surat.

Inaugurating a three-day diamond industry exhibition Sparkle International 2015 at Surat, Gujarat Chief Minister in her speech said that the state government is willing to establish India’s biggest diamond bourse and a Special Economic Zone(SEZ) for diamond industry in Surat. Speaking on this occasion, state Finance Minister Saurabh Patel sid that the state government has open mind on declaring notified area in Surat for diamond industry. City Mayor, Mumbai based consul general of Sri Lanka, Southern Gujarat Chamber office bearers, Vipul Shah among others were present on this occasion.
