Patan(Gujarat) may become sister city of Tulsa (America)

Patan city in north Gujarat may soon become sister city of American city of Tulsa. A delegation of Tulsa city may arrive in Patan on 23-24 January in this connection. Tulsa city may not just connect to Patan as Sister city but may also adopt some development project here.

Settled in Tulsa in America, but originally from Patan Dr. Dayal Meshri is a person behind this development.

According to Dr. JH Pancholi, Executive Director of North Gujarat Education Society, Trustee of this society Dr. Dayal has donated much to university campus here. Dayal who is owner of chemical industry in America is also a scientist. He runs Tulsa global alliance programme. He is the link between Patan city and Mayor of Tulsa in America.

The city of Patan, former capital of Gurjar Desh(today’s Gujarat, plus parts of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh) is now on the world map due to recently awarded world heritage site status by UNESCO to medieval stepwell ‘Ranki Vav’.

Tulsa is the second-largest city in the State of Oklahoma and 47th-largest city in the United States. As of July 2013 the population was 398,121, an increase of 6,215 over that reported in the 2010 Census.
