If we do business ranking just by considering Gujarat, then India would be at 50th spot instead of 169th: World Bank President

Gandhinagar

Jim Yong Kim, President of World Bank on stage of Global CEO Conclave held today evening in Gandhinagar made a statement that immediately brought cheer on face of all those associated with Gujarat government present in the function.

Jim Yong Kim in his remark in presence of US Secretary of State John Kerry, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Chief Minister Anandiben Patel said, “we are encouraged that Mr. Jaitley and Prime Minister Modi are committed to ‘ease of doing business’ ranking. If we do business ranking just by considering Gujarat, then India would be at 50th spot instead of 169th.”

It should be mentioned here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was earlier the Chief Minister of Gujarat state for over ten years today in his speech at inaugural function of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2015 said “Ease of doing business in India is a prime concern for you and for us. I assure you that we are working very seriously on these issues. We want to make them not only easier than earlier; not only easier than the rest; but we want to make them the easiest.”

Jim Young Kim further said, “Prime Minister Modi is on the right track and his policies on sustainable development and conflict resolution are being well received.”

He said, “the world is truly here for a historic transformation. We can all help to build India economically which is inclusive. India will be leading in so many areas and everyone else running to catch up.”
