Daily free meal for 100 poor for last 38 years at Shamlaji

Pilgrim town Shamlaji based Lakshminarayan Annakshetra provides free meal to hungry and poor people continuously for last 38 years.
The trust was established with inspiration of Sant Dongreji Maharaj in year 1977.
On an average daily 100 poor persons are catered dal, bhat, puri, shak thali every day. On Poonam this figure touches 2,500 per day.
The trust also offers daily 100 kg feed for birds at local chabutara. Potatoes used in free meal are donated from donors of Aravalli district.
According to the trust head Dilipbhai Gandhi, a katha session has been organized during 8-14 February with Shyamsundar Maharaj on vyaspith.
