Gujarat BJP heads elected in 5 more taluka panchayats unopposed

Gujarat BJP today said the party candidates have been elected to the posts of president and vice president of newly formed taluka unopposed.

In a state BJP media cell note, state party spokesperson IK Jadeja said, on the last day of filing nominations, 5 out of 6 taluka panchayats have been won by BJP.

He added that BJP doesn’t enjoy majority in any of these talukas, and it has achieved success through support of Congress and independent members. In some cases, some members have joined the bJP.

The newly formed talukas that have elected BJP president and vice president unopposed are Garudeshwar(Narmada), Desar(Vadodara), Thasra(Kheda), Dhoera(Ahmedabad) and Gir Gadhada(Gir Somnath).

Jadeja added that Jotana(Mehsana) taluka panchayat will see election of president and vice president on February 3 and BJP will win these posts too.
