Ahmedabad gets new fire station at Thaltej(video)

Ahmedabad today got one more fire station. This one in Thaltej area. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister today morning in presence of Mayor and Commissioner. This Fire station has also staff quarters in its campus. Fire jawans demonstrated mock operation in presence of guests present during the inaugural function.

Spent amount Rs. 10.45 crore
Total plot area 7384 sqm
Total construction area 7404.31 sqm
Work started 5 June 2012
Work completed 16 September 2014
Block A: fire building 1845 sqm construction
administrative office, 2 big, 8 small fire vehicles parking, sorts, control room, watch room, shower/change room, multipurpose hall, 2 offices of senior officers, 2 flats for officers 2BHK(each 141 sqm).
Block B,C,D: resident quarters of fire staff, total 4050 sqm construction. 1 BHK. Each floor 4 quarters. Total block-3. 16 quarters in each block. Total quarters 48. Each has 77 sqm construction.
With this Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has total 14 fire stations.
