Governor Vajubhai Vala walked off the stage when national anthem was on

73-year-old Vajubhai Vala, Governor of Karnataka is in news on national TV channels for disrespect of national anthem in public function. The function was about swearing in of transferred Judges of High Court. Vajubhai stood up in respect of national anthem before the ceremony started. But at the end of the ceremony when national anthem was played, Vajubhai didn’t stand up steadily and left the stage. When he walked a few steps and reached between those attending the function and standing in respect to national anthem, he was reportedly pointed out by someone that national anthem was on. Vala returned to stage and stood up there till the national anthem was over. As video footage was captured, the sequence was played repeatedly in sensational style by news channels throughout the evening.
