By-election for Rajkot Municipal Corporation(RMC) ward no. 19 and 20 and 37 vacant seats of 12 municipalities will take place on 19 April 2015 according to a programme announced by State Election Commission, Gujarat.

Last date of filing nomination will be 4 April. Counting will take place on 21 April.

Municipalities that are going to witness by-poll are Jasdan, Morbi, Anand, Visnagar, Valsad, Deesa, Vanthli, Keshod, Veraval paten, Dabhoi, Karjan, and Bhachau. Of this list Bhachau(Kutch) will have by-eleciton on 17 seats while Karjan(central Gujarat) will have by-poll on 6 seats. Other municipalities will have by-poll on 1, 2 or 3 seats.
