17 crew members of Omani ship rescued off Gujarat coast

Pipavav Marine Police and Indian Coast Guard have in a joint operation rescued 17 crew members of a ship from Oman at around 10-15 nautical mile distance from Gujarat coast in Amreli district. The ship was from Oman and it was going to Alang ship breaking yard. According to Pipavav Marine Police Station it received call at around 10.30 am and sent its both boats and staff for rescue operation as the ship from Oman was sinking due to some technical problem.

Crea members: 10 Pakistani, 5 from Yaman, 1 from Iraq and 1 Indian
Rescue operation: It went on for three hours
