CM to attend zone wise meetings on GIDC issues, single window in one month

Speaking at stone lying ceremony of Federation of Industries & Association’s skill training center in Gandhinagar, Gujarat Chief Minister today said she will personally hear and discuss the issues pertaining to industrial estates of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation(GIDC) in four zones.

“Before I left for China, I told officials to make a list of issues GIDC units are facing. I told them to resolve the local issues at their level, and also told them that government level issues will be resolved once I return from China.”

“We are dividing GIDC estates in four zones. I will be attending a meeting in each zone to hear and resolve the issues regarding GIDC estates.”

Chief Minister asked government officials to make GIDC online.

“This is an era of technology. GIDC should go online. Sitting in Gandhinagar, I should be able to know that how many plots are vacant in particular GIDC and which GIDC needs what from the government.”

Chief Minister appealed industrialists to take responsibility of payment of premium of insurance for their labourers. She shared the details of recently announced insurance schemes by centre, premium of which is Rs 12 per year in one scheme and Rs 360 per year in another scheme.

She spoke about U-Win cards that the state government is going to introduce for labourers. Through this card, labourers will be able to take all benefits of government schemes available to them.

Chief Minister said that single window system for MSME and major industries will be available in about one month time in Gujarat.

The Chief Minister spoke about her visit to 40 ha campus dedicated to skill development in China where annually 3 lakh youths are trained.

She said there’s no need to fear from Chinese investment in India.
