A meeting to discuss changes in syllabus of standard 9-12 textbooks in schools under Gujarat Board was held in capital Gandhinagar yesterday.

The meeting was chaired by Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.

According to Shri Chudasama, one of the proposals in the meeting was about covering contemporary issues like save the girl child, global warming, cleanliness, health, gender justice, Yog in syllabus for good samskar, thoughts and morale values.

The meeting also decided to include chapters on Dhirubhai Ambani, Umashankar Joshi, Pannalal Patel in text book to inspire the students.

A decision was also taken to add chapters that may help students to become stress fee, which may boost their confidence, and inspire them for service.
