BJP national president Shri Amit Shah was today in Ahmedabad to launch a book written by former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his spiritual experiences with Pramaukh Swami Maharaj. The function was attended by Governors of Gujarat and Karnataka, Ministers, top industrialists including Torrent Group’s Mehta and Arvind Group’s Sanjay Lalbhai, Padma Shri Architect BV Doshi, Shri Brahmvihari Swami, Shri Ishwarcharan Swami among others. Shri Amit Shah delivered his speech in Gujarati. Following are major highlights of what he spoke:

Amit shah:

I have been fortunate to have number of opportunities to meet Pramukh Swami. I had such opportunity when I had victory, I had such opportunity when I had defeat and every time when I left him after meeting, he kept me surprised. That’s because his words of blessing were perfectly in line to what’s going on in my mind. As I am in public life, sometime one may have idea of what’s going on in my mind, but sometimes noone know what’s going on in my mind, but when I met Pramukh Swami, I found the words of his blessing in connection to the issues going on in my ind.

There are lot of good works going on under the guidance of Shri Pramukh Swami. Some of them are Vyasan mukti, Samskar sinchan in children, faith in God, and creation of mentality to sustain in smooth-rough times. But the biggest work by Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha(BAPS) has been that it has made alive the Sanyasi and Sadhu tradition again. It has given prestige and divinity to this tradition again.

While Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj spent entire time for expansion and to connect newer set of people, Pramukh Swami gave organizational structure.

During two years time when I was in problem, I visited all temples, pilgrim places across India. I went to Shaktipiths and Jyotirlinga. Perhaps God had decided to give me opportunity to seek his blessings in young age.

So I have seen all major religious places but I have never seen the structure that has been created by BAPS at Sarangpur. There’s a college for Sadhus in Sarangpur, and I have not seen such setup anywhere else. People who have achieved so much in their field and reached height come to this place and become Bhagat. They then wait for the time when Pramukh Swami will agree to give his kripa so that they can become Sant.

Aadi Shankaracharya had created Akhara sysem that worked for long and took Hindu faith to a new path. Pramukh Swamiji through BPAS has given new strength to Sant, Sadhu and Sanyasi system when faith was in more dangerous situation compared to even the time of Aadi Shankaracharya. This contribution is globally important because solution of all gobal issues is in Hindu faith. I am not saying this because I am Hindu. In next 50-100 years when Hindu religious chetna’s history will be written by someone, Pramukh Swami’s chapter will be mentioned on golden page.
