Ahmedabad to host first national level Targetball Workshop and Clinic

Targetball Federation of India along with the Gujarat Targetball Association shall be conducting a training camp to create awareness about this latest game which has very old roots in the Indian Mythology and was traditionally played by the `Gwalas` of Mathura since the times of Lord Krishna.

In its modern format the game has been promoted by the Targetball Federation of India headed by Mr.Sonu Sharma who will also be conducting the Targetball Federation Technical Officials Examination (TFTOE).

The Gen.Secretary of Gujarat Targetball Association Teena Krishnadas informed that a wide number of participants would be attending this camp both from within and outside Gujarat. She said that this new and strenuous game was a mix of handball and basketball and required very high level of physical dexterity and mental aptitude as it has been created to be more difficult than both the games of basketball and handball.

Five national and three international level tournaments have been organised till date and 20 states of India have actively participated in the promotion of the game since its inception in 2012. Registrations are open till evening of 10th July 2015 in lush and sprawling ground of Shanti Asiatic school campus at Shela in Ahmedabad. Workshop will start from 10th till 12th July 2015
