250 volunteers from Ahmedabad to clean entire Somnath ahead of Shravan

As many as 250 volunteers from Surat, Rajkot, Morbi etc places will clean Shri Somnath Mandir and all 50 temples and their surroundings managed by Shri Somnath Trust. The cleaning drive has been organized by Ahmedabad based Bapa Sitaram Seva Trust led by Harishbhai Soni.
The volunteers will carry 500 ft pipeline, 100 short brooms, 50 tall brooms 20 stick attached mops, 30 kg cleaning powder, 50 sharp-edge iron strips to remove pigeon discharge.
For last five years, ahead of the holy month of Shravan this activity is participated by even rich people who have more than one servant at home. The volunteers carry their drinking water with them. They carry 7 cooks for their need of food.
About 60-70 of these volunteers also visit Bapa Sitaram dham at Bagdana every month on Sunday before Poonam(full moon day). Around 90 volunteers also performed the same task at But Bhavani-Arnej mandir near Dholka in Ahmedabad district.
The volunteers will offer mahathal and flag to Somnath Mandir on Monday, August 10.
