Ahmedabad city police Crime Branch has nabbed Rajesh Patel son of Vasudevbhai Nimavat from Shela village in district Ahmedabad and Rahul Gajera son of Girish Patel from Income Tax area in Ahmdabad for making fake Facebook profile to cheat Ceramic industrialists.

Both accused had created Patel Ceramic, Krupa Ceramic, Patidar Ceramic, Krishna Tiles etc Facebook profile page. Through Patel Ceramic Facebook page they came in contact of Oasis sanitary firm owner Ceramic businessman Kishor Patel(Morbi). They offered cheaper tiles to Kishor Patel and finalized Rs 2,13,000 deal. The accused then clicked a photo of truck being loaded with tiles stock and sent it to Kishor Patel using Whats App. At the same time they demanded payment which was sent by Kishor Patel through courier. As soon as payment was received, the accused stopped using their phone.

On application received by Cyber cell of Crime Branch in Ahmedabad, call details and Facebook profiles were investigated after which both accused were arrested.

Police learnt that both accused had managed to have dummy sim card to activate fake Facebook profile in order to cheat traders in Joshpur, Udaipur, Kolhapur, Karnataka, kerala etc places. Complaint against them are also filed in Rajasthan, Jodhpur, Sardarpura police station.

Yuvraj Nimavat has earlier arrested in cricket satta betting crime in Morbi city police station.
