Jamnagar gets revamped Dhanvantari auditorium

Revamped Dhanvantari auditorium in Jamnagar is going to be opened today by state health minister Nitin Patel.
The auditorium has 478 seats on ground floor and 147 in balcony. It has a big wooden stage and all modern facilities.
The auditorium had suffered major damages in year 1978 due to natural calamity. Later it was repaired by during a programme in year 2003, outer portion of ceiling had collapsed . The theater was declared dangerous for holding events and closed. After prolong repair work, the auditorium is being opened today on the occasion of Gujarat Ayurved University’s golden jubilee function.
The auditorium was built with donation of Rs 3 lakh by Chatrabhuj Sheth in year 1946. The work for this auditorium was started by an Italian architect and completed by an Indian architect. The auditorium has been revamped by state health department’s PIO wing. The hall is centrally air conditioned. It has latest sound system, separate changing rooms for ladies and gents, VIP room, LED lighting, latest curtains, latest electric panel ceiling, ecostic system
