Gujarat BJP Spokesperson Shri IK Jadeja today in a statement issued on behalf of party’s state unit slammed opposition Congress party for “mud-sledging” against Chief Minister Anandiben Patel’s daughter Anar Patel and family “to tarnish the clean image of successful first woman Chief Minister of Gujarat Anandiben Patel”.

In response to Congress party’s allegations over land allocation to a particular firm, Jadeja said, “the company had applied for govt land in year 2010 and Congress has not given any evidence that the land was allotted to that company by breaching legal procedure, or purpose of land was changed by government for company’s benefit. It is clear that all allegations are fabricated and fail to sustain.”

“Wildwoods Resorts and Realty Private Ltd got the land in year 2011 as non-agriculture(NA) after completing all prior procedures as per the rules, and therefore the allegation that government gave any benefit to company by changing the purpose of use of the land fails to sustain,” he added.

Jadeja further said, “Congress has been in power in the past and therefore it must be knowing that the valuation of land takes place at three-stages – first at the district level, then at planner and valuer level and finally at the state level in committee. In this entire transparent process, low valuation has no scope.”

“Don’t Congress people know that the land is now in eco-sensitive zone, in periphery of protected forest, and therefore the state government can’t give permission for construction, and therefore permission has to be taken first from the National Wild Life Board which functions under the Government of India?” Jadeja asked Congress.

In response to Congress allegation that the land had been allotted to BJP man Sanjay Dhanak, Jadeja said, “now reality is that Sanjaybhai’s father Vajubhai Dhanak was Janata Dal(Gujarat) MLA from Dhari constituency in 1990-94 in Gujarat assembly, and Janata Dal(Gujarat) has its origin in Congress. Congress party’s move to wrongly defame BJP stays exposed therefore.”

Jadeja said when this land was allotted to Wildwood Resorts and Reality Private Ltd, no BJP leader’s family members were partner in that firm either directly or indirectly.

He said in a democratic system, any person generates his source of income individually and do some profession, but to connect it so some political person’s family in attempt to defame him/her is certainly not acceptable to people of Gujarat.
