Rare birds sighted at Vansda Western Ghat National Park in Gujarat

Many rare birds were sighted during two-day long bird census in Vansda national park in south Gujarat.
A nature camp was organized at Nature Camp Kilad jointly by South Dang Forest Department, Unai Animal Saving Society, World Nature India, Nature Club Surat and Friends of Nature Navsari.
As many as 15 teams participated in this camp and selected various routes to count the birds.
As many as 110 types of birds were captured in camera by more than 50 bird lovers in 2600 square km area.
Malabar Dragon, Forest Wagtail, Black Bird, Malabar Whistling are some of the birds sighted. It should be mentioned here that Vansda forest is starting point of Western Ghat.
