Pro Pakistan separatist Hurriyat leader Geelani joins Rahul,Kejriwal, left in condemning centre for Kanhaiya’s arrest

Srinagar

Pakistan supporting hardliner Hurriyat Conference chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani today joined Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, AAP leader Kejriwal and left front leaders and came out in support of Jawaharlal Nehru University students union leader from Communist Party background Kanhaiya Kumar. Geelani also came out in support of former Delhi University professor S A R Geelani, saying their arrest over alleged anti-India statements amounts to “muzzling the freedom of expression”.

The India hater and pro Pakistani Hurriyat leader thus echoed Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s words.

The separatist leader said, “this detention has no constitutional and legal justification and it is an act of muzzling the freedom of expression”.

Demanding immediate release of Geelani and Kanhaiya, the Hurriyat leader said, “The secular and democratic claims of India are badly exposed day by day and this country is on its way to become an extremely intolerant Hindu Rashtra.”

He also termed as “baseless and ridiculous” the comment by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh linking the JNU event with Pakistan and Hafiz Sayeed.

Kanhaiya has been arrested by Delhi Police in anti-national slogans case which is gradually emerging actually as anti-national activities case. Delhi court had after going through evidence and witness sent Kanhaiya to 4 days police custody first and later on 2 days police custody as extension. Delhi police is confident about the case as it has enough video evidence to prove that Kanhaiya was part of anti-India protest and had played active role.

Another accused in Pro-terrorist slogans/event case involving Press Club of India as venue, SAR Geelani has also been sent to police custody by court.

While police and court are doing their job, left wing politicians joined by Rahul Gandhi and Kejriwal and major section of main stream media are together voicing against the government on this issue terming it the act of suppressing the voice. Voice that sounded like ‘Bharat ki barbadi tak jung rahengi jung rahengi’, ‘Bharat tere tukde honge Insha Allah Insha Alla!’, ‘Tum Afzal ko kya maronge, har ghar Afzal paida honga’ in JNU campus.
