Rs 4,135 crore investment intentions/strategic partnerships achieved during travel mart: Gujarat govt

Gujarat government today claimed Rs 4,135 crore investment intentions during Vibrant Gujarat International Travel Mart held in Gandhinagar last weekend.

According to Tourism Minister Saurabh Patel 85 investment intentions/ strategic partnership offers worth Rs 4,135 crore were received during the mart. The proposals will realise in next five years which is the period of existing tourism policy.

67 intentions/strategic partnerships will materialize as Rs 3110 crore investment in hotels/amusement an theme park, wellness centers, way-side amenities and other sectors.

Patel claimed that during two days of mart 4272 pre-decided business to business meetings were held which could generate Rs 1025 crore business.

He said skill development, health tourism, heritage management areas have attracted 18 strategic partnerships.

250 national and international buyers from 49 countries actively participated in travel mart. India’s top travel sector organizations IATO, TAFI, TAAI, ADTOI and TAG representatives attended the mart, Patel said adding that Yes Bank’s tourism road map of Gujarat was unveiled during the conference.

He said about one lakh visitors visited 200 stalls at travel mart venue.
