Mayor of Ahmedabad has welcomed the budget presented by Finance Minister Saurabh Patel today.

– Rs 400 crore provision for smart cities and Amrut scheme beneficiary cities for infrastructure.

– Rs 722 crore provision for Rs 10773 crore Metro rail project.

– Rs 10 crore provision for Chandola lake development.

– Rs 1 crore for survey of Kharicut canal.

– Provision for two new flyover bridges in Ahmedabad – Naroda rail fly over and Pakwan junction flyover on SG Highway.

– Six lane highways proposed and in progress – Ahmedabad – Bagodara – Rajkot road.

– First Specialty Mother and Child hospital in Ahmedabad with provision of Rs 5 crore.

– Rs 100 crore kidney and ophthalmology hospital expansion and Rs 82 crore expansion for cancer hospital. Rs 5 crore for latest cath lab in Sola civil hospital.

– Rs 2 crore skill enhancement training center. Launch of works to develop Dr Ambedkar foundation, Ranip museum and library.
