Major Fire in Chiripal Group’s fabric plant in Ahmedabad, Brigade call declared

A major fire broke out in the fabric plant of Ahmedabad based Chiripal Group, situated in Saijpur-Gopalpur on Pirana road in Piplej.
Around 18 fire fighting vehicles from the Ahmedabad fire station and its Chief and Additional Chief fire officers are camping on the site amid the ongoing efforts to douse the fire.
‘We received a call at around 4 50 pm and the whole team rushed to the spot immediately. The fire, as per the initial information received was caused by the accidental mixing of oil and clothes,’ a fire control room official said.
Chiripal Group, started in 1972 as a manufacturer of fabric under the leadership of Mr. Ved Prakash Chiripal, has over the years grown into a vertically integrated enterprise having manufacturing facilities for POY, Texturising, Cotton Spinning, Denim Weaving, Knitting and Processing, Home Furnishing, Garmenting and BOPP Films.
The tune of loss will be estimated once the fire is controlled.
