Saurabh Patel dedicates development works in Bhavnagar

Gujarat Minister Shri Saurabh Patel today dedicated GIS system, Virani bridge, Hill park bridge, online system for wedding registration in Bhavnagar city.

Shri Patel performed ground breaking for centralized Akshay Patra kitchen for midday meal scheme. He also announced tween city plan.

Of two bridges inaugurated today, a six lane bridge on Leela circle road has been constructed at a cost of Rs 4.67 crore while Sardar Patel school-Hill park road four lane bridge has been constructed for Rs 3.34 crore.

Bin free system has been completed in city at a cost of Rs 5.33 crore.

Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) between The borough of Charnwood and Bhavnagar city has been signed to achieve further development of Bhavnagar city.

Due to increased population in Bhavnagar in last five years, the state government has allocated more fund to local civic body which is in tune of Rs 7,500 crore for urban development. The state government has also decided to supply buses for local transport service within the city.

According to Shri Patel, Bhavnagar city is going to get two four-lane roads. The works for Bagodara-Fedara, Fedara-Pipli and Pipli-Bhavnagar are in progress.

The city will get new collector office building. Jail will be shifted outside the city. Government hostel is going to be constructed.

Through a teamwork, the employees of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation are paid Rs 22 crore arrears. Due to formation of proper rules pertaining to recruitment, the process for the same has been more transparent in last one year. The local civic body will be online, due to which corruption will lower down thanks to e-governance.
