Bus Rapid Transport System(BRTS) Janmarg service in Ahmedabad has got two buses manufactured by Volvo for two-month trial period.

Volvo has started manufacturing buses for BRTS under UD brand.

The buses are manufactured under urban bus specification – 2. Euro 4 emission norms and 250 hp rear engine bus has 37 seats and standing capacity for 30 passengers. It has a system through which bus level can be uplifted and down lifted. Bus floor is physically challenged persons friendly.42 kv/12 tonne Air conditioning system supported by air curtains in 3 doors, 6 forward and 1 reverse gear with automatic transmission, digital display dashboard, GPS console, 3 cameras, electronically controlled mirror, rear camera visual in dashboard for reverse job, door censor, new gen controller area network, auto fire suspension system for automatic sprinkle when fire etc are highlights of the buses.
