Gujarat govt nod to Rs 1054 crore irrigation project for Dahod, Mahisagar

Gujarat government has given in-principal approval to Rs 1054 crore irrigation project based on Kadana reservoir pipeline to provide further irrigation facilities to Mahisagar and Dahod districts of central Gujarat.
The project will provide irrigation coverage to 10,700 hectare land.
Under this project, water will be lifted from Nanikavat village of Santrampur taluka of Mahisagar district and provide irrigation water to water bodies, dams and ponds in Mahisagar and Dahod districts.
10,000 hectare land in 89 villages across 7 talukas of Dahod district and 500 hectare land of Mahisagar district will benefit from this project along with drinking water supply benefits to 209 villages and one town.
