Kutchi community in Kenya eager to welcome Modi in Nairobi

Bhuj: Kutchi Gujaratis settled in Kenya will give grand reception to Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Nairobi.
There are about 12,000 Kutchi Gujaratis settled in Kenya, of which about 7,000 have registered for Modi’s public function in football ground. The event at Kasrani stadium is scheduled at 5.00 pm.
A committee titled as ‘Karibu Kenya Modiji’ has been formed under Kutch origin Ramjibhai Vekaria. Other than Kutchis, there are Jains, Sikhs and Ismaili Khojas involved in preparations to welcome Shri Modi.
Performances of Muktajivan Swami Bapa pipe band, Kutch Leuva Patel Samaj band, Kutchi Garba etct are planned at event venue.
Shri Modi will spend around 36 hours in Kenya during his tour to four nations in Africa.
